Compliance Associate

We are looking for a smart, engaged and ambitious professional to join our compliance team. The Compliance Associate will support the firm's regulatory obligations across both the UK (FCA) and Nigerian (SEC) jurisdictions, ensuring the firm operates within all applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

Monitor and interpret regulatory developments from the FCA, SEC Nigeria and other relevant bodies.
Maintain and update the firm's compliance policies, procedures and registers.
Support the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and returns.

AML & KYC

Conduct client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews.
Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and escalate as appropriate.
Maintain the firm's AML/CFT framework in line with current requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
ICA Certificate in Compliance or equivalent preferred.
2+ years of compliance experience within a regulated financial services firm.
Working knowledge of FCA and/or SEC Nigeria regulatory frameworks.

Preferred Attributes

High attention to detail and sound judgement.
Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly.
