Key Responsibilities:
1. Trade Execution
Execute trades across currencies, commodities, and indices with precision, ensuring alignment with the firm’s trading policy, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
2. Market Analysis
Continuously monitor global financial markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments to identify high-probability trading setups and market-moving risks.
3. Strategy Development
Design and refine data-driven trading strategies that align with the firm’s risk parameters and profit objectives. Test and iterate strategies based on live and historical data insights.
4. Risk Management
Actively manage exposure across all open positions, applying stop-loss discipline, leverage controls, and the firm’s broader risk management policy to protect capital.
5. Portfolio Management
Track and adjust portfolio positions dynamically to align with market trends, strategy shifts, and macroeconomic outlooks. Optimize capital allocation across instruments for risk-adjusted performance.
6. Research & Reporting
Generate daily/weekly trade summaries and performance reports. Collaborate with internal research analysts to integrate market insights into actionable trading ideas.
7. Technology Utilization
Use institutional-grade platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, MetaTrader, Ctrader, TradingView) and analytical tools to enhance trading efficiency and data analysis. Experience with algorithmic or semi-automated strategies is a plus.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with fellow traders, analysts, risk officers, and operations teams to maintain smooth trade lifecycle execution, back-office reconciliation, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Advanced degrees (MSc, MBA) or professional certifications such as CFA, CTM, or CFTe are considered a strong advantage.
Experience
1–3 years of hands-on trading experience in currencies, commodities, or indices, preferably within a structured environment such as an investment bank, hedge fund, asset management firm, or proprietary trading desk.
Demonstrated ability to execute trades efficiently and manage risk under dynamic market conditions.
